FAQs

What should I expect when I place my first order?

Days 1-5: Our vendors can take up to 4 business days to produce your order before it is shipped. The first day of production is the first business day after the order was placed. Weekends don't count for production time, even though many of our vendors do actually work on making your products over the weekend.

Day 3-5: Tracking is added to your order when the vendor prints a shipping label and that label is scanned by a shipping carrier, like USPS or UPS. Once the shipping carrier has the package, it's on its way to your happy customer!

Day 5+: Transit time… Depending on the shipping method you chose at the time of placing the order and your location, the delivery itself can take up to 12 business days in the US, or up to 21 business days if you’re shipping products produced in the US internationally*. That all being said, you should expect most packages sent with standard shipping to arrive within ~5 days in the United States' lower-48 states. Expedited deliveries usually take 2-4 days and overnight shipping should arrive next day (unless the next day is a weekend).

*When it comes to international shipping, those packages are usually delivered within 1-3 weeks from the ship date through DHL or USPS Priority International. However, we have also experienced instances where an order may take about a month to deliver. Unfortunately, not all tracking events may be represented in real time when shipping internationally, and this sometimes makes a shipment appear to be "stuck" at a certain place/event (like border entry). There are also other factors beyond our control that may extend the delivery window, including but not limited to:

  • Packages being handled by multiple carriers, when handed off to local carriers.
  • Local customs department processing time

Due to all of that, we can't guarantee a delivery date with certainty for international deliveries, so please plan accordingly!

Printing:

What kind of apparel printing do you offer?

Most of the apparel items in our catalog are printed using Direct to Garment (DTG) printing method because it allows for maximum detail in design and color options.

DTG is a method where a printer directly applies the ink onto the t-shirt with inkjet technology. It involves a special printer, which prints the ink directly onto the garment in the desired design. DTG uses specialty inks, which are absorbed by the fibers of the garment.

For DTG process, we use Kornit inks for our direct to garment printing that are specific to our manufacturers' presses. These are all water based inks. Water based inks can be used for DTG or screen print production.

What type of printers do you use for apparel?

All of our apparel vendors are using Kornit printers.

Kornit Digital aligns with our mission of Sustainability.

Below is Kornit Digital’s stance on Sustainability.

Waterless:

The number one environmental risk factor in textiles is water pollution. Did you know that the volume of water used in conventional dyeing and textile print processes could fill the Mediterranean Sea every two years! The amount of water currently used, wasted, and polluted is staggering. The industry shift towards digital printing goes a long way towards reducing its environmental impact, and Kornit’s technologies are leading this effort with a 100% waterless process utilized in every single printing system we manufacture. No pretreatments, steaming or washing required.

Neo Pigment Inks:

Our water-based NeoPigment™ inks are absolutely free of heavy metals, formaldehyde and Alkylphenol Ethoxylates (APE), making them non-hazardous, non-toxic and biodegradable. As part of our waterless printing system, our biodegradable ink and energy saving process makes Kornit an eco-friendly printing solution.

Compliance:

Protecting the environment is not just a trend; it has been part of our global strategy since day one. One of our most serious commitments is to follow new research and public campaigns focused on the environmental impact of textile dyeing and printing facilities. We strive to reduce the footprint of our company, our partners, and our customers. Through constant innovation, adjustments and dedication, we aim to not only meet the ever-changing industry standards, but surpass them.

Safe Products:

Many companies in the textile and apparel supply chain are proactively working to ensure their products are free of restricted substances. They subsequently receive relevant certifications providing assurances that printing on their textiles and garments will not involve hazardous substances, and deem their products safe and sellable everywhere. Moving to digital printing is an environmental, cost-effective and higher quality option for your apparel and textile printing needs and is the first step in leaving the toxic trail behind forever.

What is the production turnaround time for apparel?

The standard production turnaround time for our US based apparel products is 3–4 business days and we do offer tracking information for all apparel shipments from our US vendors. However, if you placed an order for an item that’s currently out of stock, the production time can take up to 7 business days, because our vendor needs to place an order for the blank, then wait for a day or two to receive it and then print it out in the next few days, which is where the delay kicks in.

What is the production turnaround time for skateboards?

10 or less printed skateboard decks ship in a week or less:

Direct screen printed decks: 15–20 days*

(*Days = Business working days. Does not include weekends and holidays. Please note that this an average, some orders shipped a few days earlier and some shipped a few days later.)

Our skateboard vendor prides themselves on having the fastest turnaround in the industry for most products.

What is the shipping time for skateboards?

Our skateboard vendor partner is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UPS SurePost is an economy, residential, ground service we offer for small and medium skateboard shipments.

What are your international shipping times?

  • Standard International can take up to 21 business days*
  • Expedited International can take up to 10 business days*

*Please note that for international orders, not all tracking events may be represented in real time and this sometimes makes a shipment appear to be "stuck" at a certain place/event. When shipping internationally, you should factor in delays due to customs and hand-offs to local carriers.

Why are orders not consolidated?

We work with multiple vendors to give you the best pricing and quality, so your products may not be shipped from the same destination.

What does "flat rate" mean?

It means that you will be charged a certain rate for a product no matter what the specs are for your product. Take, for example, t-shirts: the shipping cost for the first t-shirt is $3.59 and for each additional t-shirt is $1.65, no matter what size, color and print the t-shirts are, and no matter where you're shipping to within the US.

Which regions are included in "US Territories"?

Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

What carriers do you use?

Our network of vendors use a variety of carriers including:
UPS
USPS
FedEx
Royal Mail
DHL
DPD
India Mail

How do shipping costs work?

Shipping prices are calculated by our system automatically based on the customer's location and the shipping method you select at the time of placing the order. The shipping cost combined with the item cost is the total order cost we will charge you when you place your order.

Do you offer tracking for shipping?

Yes, we offer tracking for almost all of our products. Your tracking number will appear under your Order summary on the Orders page.
